Hanging from the Rafters - Dallas Mavericks

On to the reigning champs. Not exactly a rich history here. But we've got a definite top 20/top 25 all time player here and probably three fan favorites. (Not that Dirk's not a fan fave, but you know what I mean.) It's a good balance of players, I think.

#12 - Derek Harper
Qualifies under #3 (872 games)
#15 - Brad Davis
Qualifies under #3 (883 games)
#22 - Rolando Blackman

Qualifies under #1 (93.6 rating)
#41 - Dirk Nowitkzi
Qualifies under #1 (435.8 rating), #2 (MVP in 2007; Finals MVP in 2011), #3 (993 games)

Close Calls

1. (#24) Mark Aguirre - 68.2 rating
2. (#13) Steve Nash - 57.1 rating
3. (#4) Michael Finley - 54.9 rating
4. (#2) Jason Kidd - 48.9 rating
5. (#31) Jason Terry - 46.1 rating

3. (#24) Mark Aguirre - 566 games
4. (#31) Jason Terry - 556 games
5. (#40) James Donaldson - 484 games

329 Games Played and Hall of Fame Inductee
1. (#2) Alex English - 79 games
2. (#4) Adrian Dantley - 76 games
3. (#70) Dennis Rodman - 12 games
That's it for Hall of Famers who've played for the Mavericks, so let's go to the probability scale again.
4. (#2) Jason Kidd - 96.7% probability
5. (#13) Steve Nash - 43.6% probability (This seems low to me. I have to imagine a two-time MVP is pretty much guaranteed to make the Hall of Fame since every eligible MVP is enshrined already)

  1. You made a mistake:
    75.0 Greatness Rating
    1. (#24) Mark Aguirre - 93.6 rating

Mark Aguirre has a 93.6 rating...he should be retired (he should be....he's the second best Mavs player ever).

  2. Whoops. You're right, I did make a mistake. But I listed Blackman's rating for Aguirre by mistake. It should be 68.2. I'll correct that. Thanks!
